What Brazil Reveals about the Global Far Right

Tuesday, November 10th, Rodrigo Nunes will visit campus to speak about Brazil and the Global Far Right.
Nunes is an associate professor in modern and contemporary philosophy at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in Brazil, and a visiting fellow at the University of Essex in the UK. He is the author of Neither Vertical Nor Horizontal: A Theory of Political Organization (Verso, 2021) and Anatomy of Disintegration: What Brazil Reveals about the Global Far Right (Haymarket, 2026), among other titles in several languages. As a popular educator and organizer, he has been involved in several initiatives over the years, including the first editions of the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre.
